Payroll in Indonesia still runs the old way.
Payroll is still batch, once a month. Employees have been working since the 1st, but the money only lands on the 25th or 30th. Need cash before then? The only options are predatory payday loans or interest-bearing salary advances. On the HR side, calculating income tax + social security + severance is still manual and error-prone, and employees have no way to verify for themselves that their tax and social security deductions were actually remitted.
